Care instructions

Quality is at the top of our agenda. Our cutlery is produced with careful attention to detail and is made from the highest quality materials to ensure both durability and aesthetics. When it comes to our colored PVD cutlery in shades such as gold, champagne, copper and black, there are special maintenance instructions that differ from the general instructions for uncoated stainless steel cutlery. This ensures that the color is preserved as best as possible over time.

Hand wash cutlery
To ensure the best treatment of your new cutlery, we recommend that you wash it carefully by hand before first use. We still recommend hand washing to preserve the cutlery's color and shine optimally over a longer period of time. Avoid using scouring pads, bleaches and soda, as these can damage the surface. To prevent damage caused by long-term contact with salt and acids from food, it is important to rinse off food residues immediately or wash the cutlery immediately after use. Afterwards, wipe it off with a soft cloth.

Use of dishwasher
Your cutlery is designed to be dishwasher safe, provided certain precautions are followed. It is essential to avoid aggressive cleaning agents and to use agents with a low phosphate content of no more than 3%. We recommend using programs with a maximum temperature of 40°C. It is also important to rinse food residues from the cutlery before placing it in the machine. Long-term exposure to acids from, for example, mayonnaise, vinegar and mustard can damage the cutlery. To avoid contact corrosion, which occurs when different metals come into contact, knives should be stored separately from forks and spoons in the cutlery basket or drawer. When the dishes are finished, the cutlery should be wiped with a soft cloth to prevent stains, and any water spots should also be removed to maintain the shine.

Be aware that colored cutlery will gradually lose its color intensity over time, even with careful adherence to the above care instructions.
